The Saints overturned a one-goal deficit to record their first victory of 2010 on Saturday as bottom of the table Weston-super-Mare were on the receiving end of a double blast from new signing Ian Dunn whose brace, City's first goals since 28 December, secured a 2-1 Blue Square South victory at Clarence Park. Weston led through Ben Cleverley's superbly struck 43rd minute free kick but City were back on level terms by the interval when Dunn smartly headed home Drew Roberts' near post cross. The points were secured just after the hour when Paul Bastock and Peter Smith thwarted a dangerous looking Weston attack, seconds later the ball at the feet of Paul Hakim who darted down the right flank before crossing low towards the back post where Dunn added his second goal. In addition to 28-year-old Dunn, there was a debut for former Southend United striker James Lindie, who actually replaced Dunn during the second half. Steve Castle, speaking after the game, revealed that Justin Clayton and Angus McLachlan have left the club. He added that there is a place for Danny Johnson in his squad although his chances will be limited. The midfielder left the ground prior to kick off. Injury ruled out Adam Everitt and Gary Cohen, and Ryan Frater joined the sick list inside 20 minutes when suffering a rib injury. The City captain looked to be in some discomfort after coming off and is, obviously, very doubtful for Tuesday's visit to Clarence Park by Maidenhead United.
