Having been laid low by the snow and ice of the past three weeks City were frozen out once more on Tuesday night as Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division side Royston Town chalked up a shock 2-0 Herts Senior Cup 2nd Round victory at a cold Clarence Park. City certainly had enough possession to finally score their first cup goal of the season but instead Steve Castle's side now has to bear the humiliation of losing every cup tie played this season without mustering as much as a solitary goal. City gave debuts to 16-year-old goalkeeper Adam McWeeney and substitutes Luke Jackaman, 17, and Babatunde Ayodele. Royston won the tie with two late goals. Crows skipper Ross Collins opened the scoring on 87 minutes with an excellent volley from 20 yards and three minutes later Ryan Lockett drove the second goal at some speed low past McWeeney.
