logocrestSaints secured a valuable 3 points in an impressive win against Spartan rivals Bedford.

A much changed team started slowly with Bedford dominating the opening 10 minutes. However, the home team started to find their passing game and went ahead from a Ben Luck flick from a John Addai header. Luck then smartly finished from the right side of the area to give Saints a 2 nil lead . David Bailey made an excellent save to ensure the two goal cushion at half time.

HT 2-0

The second half started with the away team working hard to regain a foothold in the game but Dom Petrucci and Ben Luck continued to worry the away defence with some clever movement and good pace.

Ben Luck, with some clinical finishing, shot a second half hat trick to add to the first half brace following assists from Petrucci, Quattromini and Jones .
Jones then missed a glorious chance to add to the tally when put through on goal but managed to place his shot wide of the goal.

Manager Franco Sidoli " We needed that win after a few poor performances. The players showed great attitude throughout and keeping a clean sheet was especially pleasing".

Next game is away to Langford next Saturday 3pm KO.
