Sakho Bakare opened the scoring for the Saints after five minutes with his eighth goal of the seaon witha crisp 20 yard shot after being set up from a cross from new signing Dawayne Clarke. Clarke turned from provider to scorer when he opened his account for City with an acute angled shot after 17 minutes. City extened their lead in the 80th minute when Mica Hyde scored his first goal for the club from the spot after Bakare was fouled in the penalty area. Aaron Lansiquot added a fourth in stoppage time to make it a perfect start to the new year for manager David Howell. A full report from David Tavener can be found here.
