Saints Reserves gained a much needed win against a Stony Stratford side that belied their lowly league position.
The early exchanges were even with the home side shading possession until Stony took the lead with a clinical finish from Rob Dean on 13 minutes.
Saints then started to apply better pressure with Shields and Hart working well down the flanks and Furlong starting to hold the ball up well.
Saints equalised through a well worked move which culminated with a Sean Shields shot that was deflected in to the net by a defender.
The second Sainrs goal followed a good header from Furlong into Shields who picked out Danny Harts excellent diagonal run from the left who then rounded the keeper to tap into an empty net.

HT 2-1.

The second half started at a high pace with Saints probing for a third goal. The industrious Bent was replaced by Ehui on 60 minutes.
Taylor replaced Carr and Saints switched formation to 4 4 2 . The third goal followed as Hart finished at the far post following good work from Shield,Shaw and Furlong.

Saints then spurned several more chances to extend their lead although Stony Stratford also looked dangerous on several occasions.
The defence, well marshalled by Anton Blackwood, held on to ensure the 3 points belonged to Saints.

Saints play on Tuesday night at home to Welwyn Garden City.
