Saints Reserves produced one of their most impressive displays of the season to win an important 3 points against fellow high flyers Cockfosters.
The game was played on a heavy pitch in difficult conditions but Saints started to gain a fair share of possession having worked hard to contain their hosts in the opening minutes.
On 16 minutes good pressure from Harry Carr and a neat ball forward allowed fellow MWY player Tremayne Charles to open the scoring although the home goalkeeper contributed in part to the goal.
On 28 minutes Ben Luck immediately lobbed an attempted Cockfosters clearance back over the goalkeeper from 35 yards to make it 2 -0.
On 37 minutes Luck then crossed accurately from the right to an unmarked Quattromini who made it 3-0.
H-T 3-0.
The second half was evenly contested until Ben Luck drove forward from the edge of his own area deep into Cockfosters half before unleashing an unstoppable shot from 25 yards into the corner of the net.
The remainder of the game saw Saints protect their lead as Cockfosters sought to reduce the defecit to no avail.
Assistant Manager Dan Manzi " That was undoubtedly one of our best performances of the season. The collective spirit and desire to win was fantastic and the boys really deserved the 3 points. Today, hard work and good technical play got its reward."
