logocrestThe Reserves had to battle hard to win a point in this Spartan One game on Saturday.

Buckingham started the game at a furious pace and Saints were unable to get a foothold in the game for the first 15 minutes.

However, the midfield trio of Jones,Quattromini and Chrysanthou started to take control and went on to create 3 good chances before the half time break. The home side's main chance came with a penalty conceded by Saints keeper Bailey which he brilliantly saved down to his left.

Saints started the second half in promising fashion and were in control although the home side were counter-attacking with purpose.

One attack after 60 minutes lead to the opening goal for Buckingham as the forward ran clear as Saints appealed for offside.

Saints reacted strongly to the setback and poured forward in search of the equaliser with Luck,Ehui and Quattromini creating good opportunities.

The equaliser came on 78 minutes with a Sam Lyon header converting after good work from Chrysanthou on the right hand side of the box.

MWY player Harry Carr was then pulled down in the penalty box but the referee waved play on and the chance to win all three points was gone.
