logocrestA poor overall performance saw last years finalists leave the Division One Cup.

A much changed Saints team started the game , which was played at a furious pace ,pretty well, containing the home team and looking dangerous on the counter attack.

However, they were made to pay for missed chances as the Home side scored twice in the last 5 minutes of the first half to take control of the game.

The second half started with Saints pushing to get a goal back and chasing the game. Kings Langley exploited some bad defending and the centre forward lobbed Aiden Kelly to make it 3-0.

Saints rallied, creating 3 good chances before Rob Quattromini tapped home a Ben Luck cut back to reduce the defecit.

Sadly ,Saints couldnt keep the momentum going and conceded a fourth goal following some bad defending .

Sam Lyon then headed home the second Saints goal from a Ben Southam free kick delivery to make it 4-2 but Kings Langley scored a fifth close to the final whistle to complete the victory.

Manager Franco Sidoli " I could make excuse after excuse but the bottom line is that we were not good enough tonight. Bad decision making throughout the team cost us dearly. All credit to Kings Langley, they have a game plan and they execute it very well. We now have to regroup and get ready for Saturdays League game".

Next game is Bedford at home on Saturday at 3pm.
