CITY ARE delighted to welcome back utility man Chris Seeby following his signing from Slough Town.
‘Seebs’, 27, who can play along the back four or in midfield, came through the youth and reserve ranks at Clarence Park and went on to make190 appearances for the club up to 2009.
During that spell, Seeby was a member of the side that won promotion from Conference South to the national division in 2006 and also won a Herts Senior Cup winners medal. He made one appearance for the England National Game XI.
After a spell working in Dubai, Seeby returned to play for Slough, helping them to the top of the Evo-Stik Southern League Central Division this season.
A series of man-of-the-match performances brought him to the attention of Saints manager David Howell, who succeeded in persuading the St Albans resident to return to the club.
“Everyone around Clarence Park spoke really highly of Chris and I could see why after seeing him in training. That confirmed everything for me and I am pleased to have got him back,” said Howell.
“He is another building block as we continue our bid to make it back to Conference South.”
