SAINTS manager David Howell is looking at two players on trial, in midfield man Ben Long and goalkeeper Nick Hardy. Long, formerly with Barnet, has been playing for Colney Heath after a spell in Iceland and was recommend to Howell by Heath manager Gary Phillips. Hardy, 23, joins from another Spartan South Midlands Premier Division club in Hadley. In other player news, defender Ryan Moran has left to join fellow Evo-Stik Premier Division club Chesham United. The club thanks him for his
strong contribution during the first half of the season before a four-match suspension intervened, leading to him losing his place in the side. Meanwhile, winger Sean Shields, who sustained ankle ligament damage at Hitchin, is ready to resume training and will join James Bent
in returning to the first team squad. Fellow striker Brian Haule is set to sign for Aylesbury to get match practice. Sadly, striker Rob Haworth has sustained another injury, pulling a hamstring while playing for Leatherhead on dual registration forms last Saturday in a bid to regain match fitness.
